HERE ARE THE QUILTS CURRENTLY FOR SALE!

THE QUILTS are hand-stitched from materials either found or purchased at local tailoring shops in the Boudhanath neighborhood of Kathmandu. Often they are made from scraps of old saris or from the pieces left over from the making of Buddhist monks' robes. Each quilt is unique -- sometimes simple and rough, sometimes elegant and whimsical. The sizes are not standardized, but are usually large enough to cover a full-sized bed. The quilts have been washed once (with soap and cold water). Though generally colorfast, care should be taken as the colors can run sometimes.

While basic in design and manufacture, every stitch is done by hand and every flaw is made with love!

LATEST INVENTORY NEWS (Updated 18 January 2010): I just brought new batch of quilts back to the USA, to help bring in the New Year!  These quilts are somewhat smaller than the summer shipment, and make perfect throw-quilts.
